Sown Seeds are Sprouting
About two years ago, a team shared the gospel with a young man, belonging to a different faith, who was addicted to drugs. One team member happened to be a former drug user himself. He shared his story of escape from addiction and of how Jesus helped him out of that deep well. Somehow, the connection between the team member and the young man did not continue, and the team had to move to a new location. With no further contact, it may have seemed that the seed which was sown in that young man’s life was wasted.
However, not long ago, the young man and the team member met once again. The young man had been looking for the team member since the team’s move from that previous location! And this time, the young man shared his story. He explained how he kept remembering the testimony he had heard and that it encouraged him to get away from drugs. But then he continued, “I want to know your Jesus.” Now he and the team member study the Bible together!
Please pray for all the seeds that have been sowed. May those seeds continue to grow in the hearts of people so that one day, many more will also say, “I want to know your Jesus.”
He [Jesus] also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” Mark 4:26-29 (NIV)
