Healing Prayer in Village... First Family Comes to Faith
Although COVID-19 has affected many sectors of life and stopped many things, God is good, and the work of his Great Commission is advancing through church-planting work. Believers in a particular country are thankful to God that his ministry is not stopped by the coronavirus. By the grace of God, they have been able to baptize over 200 new believers!
One of those recently baptized came from a background of another religion. She had been suffering with a disease for a long time, and although many things had been tried, she was not healed. Church planters went to her village to share the good news. The girl’s parents were not receptive to Jesus, but the girl said, “Please pray for me and I believe Jesus can heal me.”
The team prayed for the girl, and she was healed! She received baptism, and after a month, her parents also were baptized. The church planters praise God for this wonderful work. This is the first family in the village to come to Christ. As the team continues their work, please pray that the other remaining families of this village will also accept Jesus.
Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. (Matthew 9:22, NIV)
